A lot of blue collar jobs have been lost to robots, especially in factories and manufacturing. More jobs are at risk as robots begin to become more mobile and intelligent.
But we rarely talk about the huge risk for Artificial Intelligence (AI) to take over the vast majority of white collar jobs in our “data driven” economy. It’s scary because we place so much emphasis on needing “data analysts” to the point we kill human creativity. It seems Darwinism will take care of that. So if you are seen as an Excel or PowerPoint Ranger, starting packing your bags, your days are numbered. AI will be doing your job in 5-15 years.
Who will survive the 2-1 robot/AI punch? Jobs that require social skills and creativity. So perhaps consider taking a few more art classes, and a few math classes.
